A Working Mom's Secret to Success on Valentine's Day: Manage Expectations...

Lady celebrating Valentine's Day at Eddie V's "To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance." - Oscar Wilde  Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. I do a lot of things and try to be present so that I can learn from them. I share them on this blog so that we can learn together. Below are some thoughts, hacks, and/or lessons that I have learned from navigating my world. The roots of Valentine’s Day roots go back to St. Valentine, a priest in the early Christian Church known for his compassion and commitment to love. He was a defender of faith, hope, and kindness, reminding us that love is not just a feeling—it’s an action. And, this year I have learned that being free on Valentine's Day is better than living a lie. Valentine's Day, like Christmas, comes every year. Style Tip for My Stylish Friends: HUGE One Day Kate Spade Sale

I am so excited that I can barely type. All fashion lovers know that Kate Spade is in a class all her own. Her clothes, shoes, and accessories are feminine, elegant, and stylish.  Any woman with any fashion awareness admires Kate Spade.

There's one problem though.

Kate Spade, in all of its splendor, can be kinda pricey, especially for moms trying to balance a budget. That is why I can barely contain myself as I write this post.  For some reason only known to the fashion gods and the Kate Spade board of directors, there is a HUGE sale underway right now.  You can score Kate Spade products for up to 75% off.

If you click on the "Ebates" tab on the right of my blog you can get the discount AND earn 3.5% cash back on your purchases.  That means you will get a check for shopping. Does it get any better than that???

To put the sale in perspective, there is a baby bag on sale that I lusted after my entire pregnancy. It was priced at $395 so I never bought it.  And registering for it seemed more than a tad bold.  So, it has remained something I wanted, but never got.  Today though, that bag is $169.  If it had been that price when I was pregnant I would have had to think long and hard about buying it.  It is really cute and I know that it will last forever.  If you're tempted, you should that it is in all black and leopard.  I hope a reader, maybe Candice Peralta, will do me proud and score the leopard one.  Lugging diapers around is a bit of a pain. So, you might as well do it in style!

If you're interested, visit www.katespade.com before 11:59PM. When the clock hits midnight the sale is over.

Good luck and stay stylish!
