As any pregnant and post-pregnant woman knows, What to Expect When You're Expecting by Heidi Murkoff is the pregnant woman's bible. There are so many things going on with your body that are new and different that you need a trusted filter to obtain information. What to Expect When You're Expecting ("WTE") is it for a lot of woman.

What to Expect When You're Expecting, the "bible" for pregnant women...

Heidi has used her own experience as a mother, her knowledge from expert consultants, and her conversations with other moms to educate other women. That was genius on Heidi's part.  More importantly though, her efforts have enriched her personally and has enriched any woman who has been fortunate to read her books. I received two copies when I was pregnant from friends who all had relied on Heidi when they were pregnant.

The WTE movie is coming out soon starring Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz, among others.

You may have been surprised that I yesterday's post, "Friday Tips: Free Family Fun" http://chatonsworld.blogspot.com/2012/04/friday-tips-free-family-fun.html, was a recommendation from the WTE website.  Well, I am hear to tell you that WTE can serve as a resource to moms during pregnancy and as they raise their children.  My friend Emily gave me, What to Expect the First Year, as a shower gift and I consulted it often throughout that first year.  I visit the website often and have its posts sent to me on email. http://www.whattoexpect.com/  I also feel like I have a personal relationship with Heidi, even though we've never met.

Heidi and I communicate on Facebook. She thinks my baby is cute, which shows how smart she really is!

Because of Twitter I have "met" the author of What to Expect--she's super cool!

Heidi is also one of my most trusted "Twitter friend".  Twitter has been a way for me to connect with lots of people on the Internet that I would never have met in person.  I ask Heidi questions about my baby's development.  She has given me advice about how to deal with the baby's "grandparent induced tantrums" (more about that in another post) and she is supportive of me as a blogger.  She has told me more than a few times, "I love your blog!".

You skeptics may say, "You moron, that's not Heidi, that's her assistant writing you."  I say, "Heidi is my homey!" and I am not going to believe anything else!

Enjoy your Saturday!
