A Grandfather’s Love, Demonstrated in Freeze Pops

As the weather starts to break a bit, we make plans for Spring Break, and I book my kids in a variety of Summer camps,  I am reminded that this summer will be different because we won't have my dad to share the summer with,  My dad kept these on the rotation, in every flavor. Not even sure how he gets them now because I think they are the equivalent of "kid crack"--made with artificial coloring, flavoring, and sugar . To my kids though, these freeze pops were love and summer wrapped in a bow.

A Peek Into the Life of a Blogging Mom: Saturday

Like most working moms I cherish my weekends. This weekend is no different. Well, it is slightly different... Being the dutiful son that he is and a lover if home improvement projects, Andre has committed to redoing his parents front steps. Apparently, there will be crushing the original steps with a sledgehammer, pouring concrete, and creating new steps. I am certain it's more complicated than that, but as you can see, it's a lot of work!

So, what's a blogging mom to do?!

I have to identify activities for me and baby to occupy our time. I also have to figure out how to do the housework alone, unless I go on strike... Hmm... That does have some appeal.

While I contemplate pulling a Norma Ray, I'm going to take the baby to community day at the Carnegie Library in Oakland. I'm actually typing this piece on my iPad as I wait for her to wake up from her brief nap. Let's hope we enjoy our library visit. Guess what?! She's up now. So, we're going in. I'll keep you posted!
