I have always loved holidays, but since the baby has arrived they have become even more special. My family has made a greater effort to spend time together and that family time feeds my soul. Because the holidays are so much fun, afterwards I really miss them.
But as you know, sometimes things get confused in Chaton’s World; and this was one of those times.
Jeryn and I talk daily. However, in the weeks leading up to her trip we managed to discuss everything except her travel schedule. She sent an email, but somehow I missed the details. Because I failed to communicate well with her in advance about the details of her trip, I worked every day that she was in town. :-(
While I was tremendously disappointed about that, there was a bright spot. She and my daughter got to spend lots of time together. And I got photos of them hanging out while I was at work. (The one listed with this post was taken at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh.)
I was sorry that I missed the outings, but I was happy that they were getting along so well. It is quite clear that the baby loves her aunt, which makes me immeasurably happy. It is also clear that they had a lot of fun.
Maybe next time I will make sure that I get my schedule straight! Until then, I'll enjoy these photos to help me overcome the post-holiday blues!

This past Easter holiday was wonderful too.
My sister, Jeryn, arrived on Holy Saturday and stayed for five days. She just left yesterday and I miss her terribly. I love hanging out with her. She’s loving, insightful and my best friend. While she was here, our family got together more, enjoyed lots of laughs and copious amounts of wine.
Jeryn is a trooper . Once she arrived, I took advantage of the extra hands and put her on "baby duty". That is no small feat. Our baby is eighteen months old and a ball of energy! Fortunately, she not only shares Jeryn's middle name, but also shares her love of dance. So, they got along famously! My sister, Jeryn, arrived on Holy Saturday and stayed for five days.
