Mom and three kids Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. I do a lot of things and try to be present so that I can learn from them. I share them on this blog so that we can learn together. Below are some thoughts, hacks, and/or lessons that I have learned from navigating my world. Black Maternal Health Week April 11-17, 2025 I am a Black mom to three wonderful children. I was blessed to have three successful births. While I am an attorney, my third delivery highlighted the potential risks that occur when a physician fails to listen to the birthing person. Initially, I chalked it up to the physician involved and limited it to my personal birthing experience. Then, I learned that I was not special. Free Event: Pittsburgh Children's Festival

Come by Schenley Park for the Children's Festival. It's free and lots of fun for the kids.

Our daughter was singing and dancing and playing. That is until the meltdown... We can't blame the meltdown on the Children's Festival though. Her parents are to blame.

We took her out at nap time to attend the drum show. At first she was scared. The music was loud and the lights were flashing. I don't know what she was thinking, but she needed some time to process it. Once she got into the groove she started to feel it!

Let it be known. My daughter likes to move! The next thing we knew she had run up front and started dancing! She developed a fan base.

One woman came up to me and said, " she's found her calling!"

I think we may have a rising star on our hands, or at least a girl who likes to dance!

If you go, check out the Mirazozo exhibit. It's this peaceful light exhibit. It's a great experience, very Zen. We all enjoyed it. Be forewarned though. You have to take off your shoes before you enter the exhibit. I'll try to upload some photos soon! Mirazozo
