A Working Mom Hangs Out With Jerome Bettis

Last week must have been my week with the Pittsburgh Steelers...

 (Comments From Friday)

Today was a typical day with interesting experiences. It began with me waking up late. I didn't get up till 640AM, which is really late given my current early AM goals. However, I have to tell you, I have been struggling to meet my early rising goals since the time changed.

Is anybody else thrown off by daylight savings time? It always seems easier to get up early when the weather is nice. Now that it's cold, all I want to do is snuggle up with Andre on these cold winter mornings. Don't judge me!
A Day in the Life of a Working Mom...

Today I attended a meeting, answered emails, had conference calls and prepared documents--all standard activities in the day in the life of a corporate attorney. In the afternoon, I attended the taping of "The Jerome Bettis Show" at WPXI.

My company needed a representative to attend the taping. So, I volunteered. It was Very cool. I love going to WPXI. Since I've been a kid, television has intrigued me. So whenever I get the opportunity to see a television show made is a real treat. It was also fun to hear Jerome Bettis' comments about football during the commercial breaks. He predicted that the Pittsburgh Steelers will beat the San Diego Chargers and Notre Dame will beat Alabama.  You heard it here first!

Today, I met some representatives from Dick Sporting Goods. Apparently, Jerome Bettis is a spokesperson for Dicks so they came to support his show. I one woman from Dicks named Ashley. She works in social media and she has a one year old daughter. We became fast friends. I was hungry for her social media knowledge and she was interested in my parenting tips. Meeting her is one of the things I like about being a mom. Motherhood is the tie that binds--friendships become so easy!

I enjoyed the taping, but kept thinking, "I wish that I had a show!" Doesn't Pittsburgh need a show that features Pittsburgh moms and discusses everything from motherhood to maternity leave?! Hey local TV producers, "Call me maybe?!"

Anything interesting going on in your world?
