Mom and three kids Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. I do a lot of things and try to be present so that I can learn from them. I share them on this blog so that we can learn together. Below are some thoughts, hacks, and/or lessons that I have learned from navigating my world. Black Maternal Health Week April 11-17, 2025 I am a Black mom to three wonderful children. I was blessed to have three successful births. While I am an attorney, my third delivery highlighted the potential risks that occur when a physician fails to listen to the birthing person. Initially, I chalked it up to the physician involved and limited it to my personal birthing experience. Then, I learned that I was not special. A Peek in the Life of a Working Mom: Things to Do in Pittsburgh on New Year's Eve

I moved to Pittsburgh ten years ago. And ever since I have struggled with the answer to the question, "what should I do on New Year's Eve?"   Contrary to popular opinion, the most liveable city" can be hard to navigate socially. That said, with good planning and a reliable baby sitter a working mom can have a really good time in Pittsburgh on New Year's Eve without resorting to watching "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest" on TV.


The options run the gamut from high society to something only a true yinzer would do. And since the Steelers are in the playoffs you can rest assured that everyone will be in a party mood, even if it's supposed to be cold enough to build an igloo. 

Celebrate the New Year on the waterunder the stars: 3…2…1…HAPPY NEW YEAR! Ring in 2015 with your closest friends and family out on the Three Rivers! The Gateway Clipper is the best Pittsburgh attraction to have a New Year’s Eve Party!
