One Secret to a Working Mom Success: Celebrate the Seasons With Traditions

Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. I do a lot of things and try to be present so that I can learn from them. I share them on this blog so that we can learn together. Wordless Wednesday: A Dessert for those who lack time

Memorial Day Dessert
Working moms are long on ambition, but short on time. That means that even though our hearts may be crying out to make a homemade peach cobbler to take to the Memorial Day picnic, the clock tells us that we just can't do it. In those situations, we need a back up plan.


When I needed to bring a dessert to the cookout I attended on Monday, I was inspired by somethng I saw on the old Bethenny Frankel show. Say what you want about Bethenny, she knows how to prepare food quickly that is rich in taste, but on calories. I made ice cream sandwiches out of Chips Ahoy Cookies and Breyer's Vanilla Ice Cream. They were the perfect treat for a hot day and enjoyed by adults and kids alike.
