The 2024 presidential election motivated me to have a birthday do-over

At the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater Pointe in Time Emerald Gala Today marks a week since my birthday.  Its occurrence is a tremendous blessing. Because all around us are reminders about the fragility of life. To that end, my brother, who always makes a point to celebrate me, took me to the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater's Pointe in Time Emerald Gala on November 2d. That was the beginning of my birthday celebrations. And then, on my birthday itself, I got a bit of a surprise... My actual birthday was tough. It was Election Day. And, I spent the day working polls as a part of an election protection effort. My efforts were designed to protect all voters. However, deep in my heart I love my AKA sister, Kamala Harris and I hoped for her historic victory. Then, much to my chagrin and despite my efforts—and those of thousands more—she lost. Macy's Reminds Us of The Magic of Christmas With a Fabulous Holiday Event (#MacysBelieve)

The magic of Christmas
“This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.“

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! Macy's has been synonymous the Christmas season ever since Miracle on 34th Street reminded people about the magic of Christmas. For that reason, I was honored to be selected to participate in the "Macy's Believe" Blogger Campaign.

Macy's Embodies the Magic of Christmas

One of the reasons that I am excited to participate in this campaign is because I have been fortunate enough to celebrate the holidays at the flagship Macy's Herald Square on 34th Street in Manhattan. Being there, viewing the lights, seeing the displays, and experiencing the hospitality of the salespeople made me a true believer of the "Macy's Believe" campaign. That campaign is all about reminding all of us about the magic of Christmas, and it inspires me every year.

Through Macy's You Can Send a Letter to Santa and Help a Charity

One way Macy's inspires me, and other patrons, is by giving you the opportunity to send a letter to Santa. I think that everybody needs a chance to believe that their dreams can come true and Macy's gives you that chance to do that and help a charity. Each Macy’s has a  holiday mailbox, where you can deposit your letter to Santa and drop it into the Macy’s Santa Mail Letterbox.  Macy’s will donate $1 (up to $1 Million) to Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions,  for each letter received between and now and December 24th
