One Secret to Success as a Working Mom: Stay Open to New Experiences

In the movie Love Jones , the male lead says, "romance is about the possibility of the thing." I agree with that. However, I think that the concept is more universal. life--truly living--is about the possibility of the thing. For a while, I was sleep walking through life, doing what was required without truly embracing it. Recent events have caused me to re-evaluate that and to embrace life and all of its limitless possibilities.   And romance, is about love. Over the past year I have become committed to falling back in love with my life. New relationships have made that love affair possible. And, I don't take them for granted. Creating space for new relationships and making new friends as a single, working mom, and creating space is not easy. But it is necessary. For that reason, I have committed to making new friendships, keeping the old productive ones, and enjoying them all--in the midst of working, parenting, and adulting . Macy's Reminds Us of The Magic of Christmas With a Fabulous Holiday Event (#MacysBelieve)

The magic of Christmas
“This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.“

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! Macy's has been synonymous the Christmas season ever since Miracle on 34th Street reminded people about the magic of Christmas. For that reason, I was honored to be selected to participate in the "Macy's Believe" Blogger Campaign.

Macy's Embodies the Magic of Christmas

One of the reasons that I am excited to participate in this campaign is because I have been fortunate enough to celebrate the holidays at the flagship Macy's Herald Square on 34th Street in Manhattan. Being there, viewing the lights, seeing the displays, and experiencing the hospitality of the salespeople made me a true believer of the "Macy's Believe" campaign. That campaign is all about reminding all of us about the magic of Christmas, and it inspires me every year.

Through Macy's You Can Send a Letter to Santa and Help a Charity

One way Macy's inspires me, and other patrons, is by giving you the opportunity to send a letter to Santa. I think that everybody needs a chance to believe that their dreams can come true and Macy's gives you that chance to do that and help a charity. Each Macy’s has a  holiday mailbox, where you can deposit your letter to Santa and drop it into the Macy’s Santa Mail Letterbox.  Macy’s will donate $1 (up to $1 Million) to Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions,  for each letter received between and now and December 24th
