One Secret to a Working Mom Success: Celebrate the Seasons With Traditions

Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. I do a lot of things and try to be present so that I can learn from them. I share them on this blog so that we can learn together. Wednesday Reflections - Raising Kids (#Motherhood)

Enjoying the sunshine
Anybody whose read this blog probably knows that I love my weekends with my kids. Last weekend was a bit jam packed though. My time with the kids was interrupted. I had to preside over a meeting on Saturday, which took a while. So, I vowed to make up for it on Sunday.

Posing

Sunday was a great day to make up for it because it was a sunny day in Pittsburgh! We went to church, which is a bit of an event. We don't make it there often. So, when we do, we are all excited. After church we went to The Children's Museum. We had lunch there. We played. And we had a great time. We even enjoyed the grounds because it was a sunny day.

Exploring the neighborhood

As I watched the kids run. And experienced their impetuous spirits, it got me thinking. Perhaps parents can't control their children and shouldn't even try. Instead, what we should do is provide them with opportunities and a safe place to explore. That will allow them to discover what they like and what makes their heart sing. If we are able to do that, I think that we'll have aced this parenting thing. What do you think?
