One Secret to a Working Mom Success: Celebrate the Seasons With Traditions

Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. I do a lot of things and try to be present so that I can learn from them. I share them on this blog so that we can learn together. Below are some thoughts, hacks, and/or lessons that I have learned from navigating my world. "Family traditions counter alienation and confusion. Wordless Wednesday: 4th of July Weekend

I had the blessing to spend a happy, healthy and safe 4th of July weekend with my family. We went to the beach in Presque Isle, Pennsylvania. We had a cookout. And we watched the fireworks.

Just a typical holiday weekend...

We had the quintessential American holiday, something many take for granted. I am cognizant of the blessing of it all because four people were shot about a mile away from where my family and thousands of others watched the fireworks.

Things to remember...

There are lessons here. Here are a few that come to mind.
  1. Cherish liberty. However, cherish those you claim to love more.
  2. Tell them that you love them.
  3. Embrace them whenever you can.
  4. Put safety first.
  5. Above all else, be conscious of your blessings and take nothing for granted.
My prayers are with the families affected by the violence in Pittsburgh.
