| At Concert |
Y’all know that my raison d'etre is to discuss the issues related
to working moms. Well today, is a day to celebrate two working moms who inspired
us all at the Super Bowl Halftime Show last Sunday—Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.
Shakira and J.Lo Inspired Me
Perhaps it is because I was inspired by them that I decided to get on stage at the EnVogue concert I attended on Saturday night to shake my groove thing in from of the crowd. I wound up on stage because they had a call for "party people" and I responded to that call like they had called my name. I was totally in the moment, shaking away any concerns I had about life, and it was FUN!
I know I'll never know what it's like to dance before millions at the Super Bowl, but I now know that regardless of my age, my marital status, and my motherhood, I am still willing to shake it up every once in awhile. And, I think that we should all be inspired by J.Lo and Shakira. Whether you liked the show or not, they showed us that nothing is off limits for moms. And that is quite inspiring!
